Honey Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings

Ingredients
 

  • 1 1/2 lbs chicken wings , flat and drum pieces
  • 3 tablespoons honey, optional
  • 2 tablespoons lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon seasoned salt

Instructions
 

  • Begin by preheating the oven to 425 degrees.
  • Take the chicken wings out of the fridge and pat them dry to ensure crispy skin.
  • Combine seasoning salt, black pepperr, and baking powder in a small dish.
  • Sprinkle the seasoning mix on the wings and toss them for an even coat.
  • Arrange the wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a sheet with a cooling rack.
  • Bake the wings in the oven for 25 minutes on each side.
  • I1. Melt butter in a small pot or microwave, then transfer it to a larger bowl. Whisk in honey, lemon pepper seasoning, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  • Place wings in the bowl and toss until they are thoroughly coated.
  • Optionally, garnish with a crack or two of black pepper, a touch more lemon zest, and serve with lemon slices on the side if desired.

Notes

Keep the wings in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for 3 months. Reheat in a 350F oven for 15 minutes.
