Stuffed French Toast

Ingredients
 

  • Cream cheese Filling:
  • 8 oz cream cheese , softened
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • French Toast:
  • 8 slices Texas toast
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • Optional toppings:
  • strawberries, maple syrup, whipped cream

Instructions
 

  • Whip together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until spreadable. Layer Texas Toast with this mix, creating a sandwich.
  • In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, sugar, and cinnamon. Dip sandwiches, coating them entirely. On a griddle, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Cook sandwiches until golden brown on both sides.
  • Finish by topping with strawberries, syrup, and whipped cream.
