Strawberry Bruschetta With Honey

Ingredients
 

  • 1 French baguette
  • 1 tablespoon virgin olive oil
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil, finely chopped
  • 1 cup goat cheese

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F
  • Cut the baguette into thick slices and arrange them on a baking sheet.
  • Lightly coat the slices with cooking oil, then bake for 8-10 minutes until golden and crisp.
  • As the bread toasts, prepare the strawberry topping.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the diced strawberries and freshly chopped basil.
  • For best results, stack the basil leaves, roll them tightly, and slice them into thin ribbons.
  • Once the baguette slices are toasted, spread a layer of soft goat cheese on each one, then spoon the strawberry mixture on top.
  • Finish with a drizzle of honey and extra basil leaves if desired.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
