Steak With Cajun Shrimp Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak, I used New York Strip
  • 24 shrimp, large, raw and deveined
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup fresh shredded parmesan cheese
  • 3 tablespoons butter , divided
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cajun seasoning

Instructions

  • Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks until they're lightly browned on both sides and cooked to your preferred doneness. Set aside.
  • Reduce the heat to medium. In a different pan, melt butter and cook shrimp until they turn pink on both sides (approximately 1-2 minutes per side). Set aside.
  • Cook garlic until fragrant, about a minute.
  • Pour in broth, add cream, incorporate dijon mustard and cajun seasoning. Bring it to a boil and let it simmer for a minute.
  • Stir in the cheese, allowing it to melt into the sauce.
  • Add lemon juice, parsley, and the cooked shrimp. Serve the flavorful mixture over the seared steaks!
