Skirt Steak with Garlic Butter Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs skirt steak
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 6 tsp garlic, minced
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley

Instructions

  • Trim the steak to fit your skillet, then pat it dry and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it’s very hot. Add the steak and sear both sides for about 2-3 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness. Transfer the steaks to a plate and let them rest.
  • In another skillet, melt butter over low heat, then add minced garlic. Stir the garlic with a spatula until it starts to brown. Remove it from heat and transfer it to a bowl immediately, being careful not to overcook as it can burn quickly.
  • Slice the steak against the grain and drizzle with the garlic butter. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve promptly.
