Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken, olive oil, and Italian dressing mix.
Place the chicken on a lined baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes.

In a saucepan over medium heat, add the sesame oil and minced garlic. Cook for 2 minutes.
Add all remaining ingredients to the saucepan: soy sauce, white wine vinegar, ground ginger, red chili flakes (if using), brown sugar, and honey.
Bring the sauce to a boil and then reduce the heat to a simmer for 5 minutes. The sauce will thicken.
Add the cooked chicken to the sauce and continue cooking until the chicken is heated through.
Serve the Mall-Style Teriyaki Chicken over white rice and your choice of steamed vegetables.
