Lemon Garlic Butter Baked Tilapia

Ingredients
 

  • 4 tilapia filets
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • ¼ teaspoon lemon zest
  • Red pepper flakes
  • parsley, freshly chopped
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • Lemon slices, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F. Season the tilapia with salt, pepper, paprika, thyme, and oregano, then place the fish in a baking dish measuring 9x13 inches.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest; then pour this mixture over the tilapia.
  • Bake the tilapia for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily and is tender when prodded with a fork.
  • For the final touch, decorate with pepper flakes, parsley, and lemon slices. Proceed to serve.
