Irresistible Honey Garlic Steak Bites: A Mouthwatering Recipe to Satisfy Your Cravings If you are looking for a great steak recipe look no further than the irresistible flavors of honey garlic steak bites.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb top sirloin steak, cubed
  • 1/4 cup water, (or broth)
  • 3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, (you can also use white vinegar)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seed oil, (you can also use extra virgin olive oil)
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • salt , to taste
  • black pepper, to taste
  • green onions, sliced for garnish
  • sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  • Begin by cutting the steak into bite-sized cubes, roughly between 1/2-inch to 1-inch in size.
  • Season these steak cubes with paprika, salt, and pepper, then set them aside for a moment.
  • Now, in a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, water, minced garlic, honey, sesame seed oil, rice vinegar, oregano, and cornstarch. Whisk these ingredients together until they form a well-mixed sauce, and set it aside.
  • Take a sturdy cast iron skillet and heat up a tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it's hot and shimmering.
  • Place half of the seasoned steak cubes into the hot oil, cooking them for about 2 minutes on each side or until they turn a nice brown and are cooked to your preference. Once done, remove them from the skillet and repeat this process with the remaining steak cubes, adding more oil if needed.
  • After all the steak bites are cooked, set them aside.
  • Now, give the honey garlic sauce another quick stir, and pour roughly a third of it into the hot skillet. Use this opportunity to scrape up all those delicious browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  • Return all the steak bites to the skillet, then pour the rest of the sauce over them. Cook for another 1 to 2 minutes, or until the sauce begins to thicken.
  • Once it's reached the desired consistency, remove the skillet from the heat.
  • Transfer your flavorful steak bites to a plate and drizzle them with the pan sauce.
  • For that finishing touch, garnish your dish with sesame seeds and some sliced green onions.
  • You're all set to serve and enjoy!
