Easy Brussels Sprouts and Bacon

Ingredients
 

  • 2 lbs Brussels sprouts, halved
  • 1/2 lb. bacon , cut slices in to small pieces
  • salt, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste

Instructions
 

  • Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat until it becomes crispy.
  • Remove the bacon and place it on a plate lined with paper towels, leaving the bacon grease in the pan.
  • Add the Brussels sprouts to the pan and stir until they are well-coated with the bacon grease. Cover the pan with a lid, reduce the heat to medium-low, and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Return the bacon to the pan and cook uncovered for a few more minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts reach your desired level of tenderness and browning. You can cover the pan again if you prefer softer Brussels sprouts, but keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
  • Season with salt and pepper if needed, and serve immediately.
