In a large bowl, combine boneless chicken thighs with avocado oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss until the chicken is evenly coated.
Make the sauce:
In a small bowl, stir together BBQ sauce, brown sugar and honey until well combined.
Bake the chicken:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment for easy cleanup and place a wire rack on top if you have one (this helps with even cooking). Arrange the seasoned chicken thighs in a single layer.
Bake for 25 minutes, then remove from the oven and generously brush both sides with the honey BBQ sauce. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 8–10 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Optional: For extra char, broil on high for 2–3 minutes at the end—just keep an eye on it!
