Easy Baked BBQ Chicken

Ingredients
 

  • 8 lbs of Bone-in Chicken Thighs, Drumsticks & Wings
  • 2 cups Master Piece barbecue sauce

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  • Pat the chicken pieces dry and place them on a lightly oiled, foil-lined baking sheet or on a wire rack set over a baking sheet to allow for even cooking.
  • Bake the chicken uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes, flipping once halfway through.
  • After the initial baking time, brush the chicken generously with barbecue sauce. Return it to the oven and continue baking for another 15 to 20 minutes, turning and basting the chicken every 5 to 7 minutes to build up a sticky, flavorful coating.
  • The chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 170°F for breasts and thighs, and 165°F for wings and drumsticks. If some pieces finish cooking earlier, remove them from the oven and tent with foil to keep warm.
  • If you’d like a more charred, grill-like finish, you can place the chicken under the broiler for 2 to 3 minutes at the end, keeping a close eye on it to prevent the sauce from burning.
