Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Ingredients
 

  • 4 bananas, ripe and brown
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan:
  • Heat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x5-inch metal loaf pan and set aside.
  • In a small bowl, mash the bananas and set them aside.
  • In a large bowl, use a hand mixer (or stand mixer) to cream together the butter and sugars for 2 to 3 minutes until the mixture is well combined and fluffy.
  • Combine Wet Ingredients:
  • Add the eggs, mashed bananas, and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture, and mix well.
  • Add Dry Ingredients:
  • Sift the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt into the wet mixture. Gently fold until just combined. Incorporate 3/4 cup of the chocolate chips into the batter.
  • Bake:
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until the bread is set and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Cool and Serve:
  • Let the bread cool in the pan for at least 20 minutes before serving.
