- Cut the steak into approximately 2" pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.
Season:
- Mix the seasoning blend ingredients in a small bowl, then add them to the mixing bowl with the steak bites. Toss to ensure thorough coating.
Preheat the skillet:
- Heat a large, heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat. Allow it to heat without any oil until wisps of smoke appear.
Sear (in batches):
- Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, coating the pan by swirling.
- Place about half of the steak in the skillet (adjust if it's not large enough to avoid overcrowding).
- Sear for 2 minutes without flipping, then flip and sear for another 2 minutes until well browned. Set aside on a plate and repeat with the remaining oil and steak bites.
Make garlic butter:
- Reduce heat to medium-low, using the same skillet without washing it. Add butter, melt it, and then add garlic. Cook for approximately 30 seconds, scraping the browned bits from the pan with a wooden spoon.
Combine and serve:
- Turn off the heat, add the steak bites back to the skillet, and stir well to combine with the garlic butter.
- Serve hot, garnished with minced fresh parsley.
Notes
1. For smaller steak bites, you can cut the steak into about 1-inch pieces and adjust the cooking time accordingly.
2. Customize the Cajun seasoning blend to suit your taste preferences.
