Baked Garlic Lemon Pork Chops

Ingredients
 

  • 4 bone-in pork chops
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
  • 2 teaspoons garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • salt, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges, optional
  • fresh parsley, optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  • Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large cast iron pan over medium-high heat.
  • Sear the pork chops for 4-5 minutes per side until nicely browned, then transfer them to a plate, covering with foil to keep warm.
  • In the same pan, melt the butter.
  • Add garlic, brown sugar, maple syrup, Italian seasoning, oregano, and lemon juice. Cook for 30 seconds, stirring.
  • Return the pork chops to the pan, spooning the sauce over them.
  • Transfer the pan to the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 mins until pork reaches 145°F.
  • Spoon sauce over chops, sprinkle with parsley, and serve with lemon wedges. Enjoy!
